Abstract
Base on the data about human capital for 29 provinces during 1993-2006,this paper uses quantile regression to examine the influences of human capital stock/structure on economic growth. The results are as follows:(1) human capital has significantly positive influence on economic growth in China, and the influence shows difference at different conditional distribution. Human capital structure is unfavorable to economic growth, and the negative effect is significantly strong at the low of the conditional distribution;(2)the effect of both factors on economic growth varies at different regions and quantiles.
