Abstract
Evaluation of right ventricular function is considered a challenging process.The major difficulty relates to the complex shape of the right ventricular chamber.Right ventricular tissue Doppler imaging(TDI) is a feasible,reproducible,and easily performed additional echocardiographic measure of right ventricular systolic and diastolic function.The key feature of right ventricular TDI is the detection of subclinical disease,and disease not yet detectable by conventional imaging modalities.In addition,right ventricular TDI variables can predict clinical outcome in patients with cardiac disease.
