Study on the Different Extraction Methods and Optimum Technology of Radix Puerariae

Abstract

Water extraction,reflux extraction,percolation method,soxhlet extraction,microwave-assisted extraction and ultrasonic extraction were conducted to extract Radix puerariae in this experiment.These extraction methods were evaluated by dry extraction yield,total flavonoids yield and crude puerarin yield.The optimum technology for the best method was also studied.Results revealed that the extraction efficiency of water extraction was the highest.The optimum technology was to extract it with 8 times of water for 3 times,1.5 h each times.Water extraction is the effective method to extract the active ingredients and is simple to perform.
