Status Quo and Prospect for the Countryside Development in Northern Jiangsu Province

This paper analyzes the countryside development in Northern Jiangsu Province from the Two First Developing Strategy.It points out that the settlement of problems in the development of the area under discussion will decide the success or failure of the Two First Strategy.Therefore,we should try to settle them by refreshing our minds,improving the peasants' standard of living,strengthening infrastructural construction,speeding up the structural adjustment of countryside economy,accelerating the urban construction in Northern Jiangsu Province,promoting the transfer of rural labor force and population control,and exploiting local rural human resources.
