Abstract
Objective:To observe the effect of Jianpi Paidu Pill on adenine-induced chronic renal failure. Methods:Rats were fed with adenine to induce chronic renal failure. After Jianpi Paidu Pill was given for 30 days, rats were killed for renal pathology, blood and biochemistry assay. Results:The Jianpi Paidu Pill could not only reduce the amount of urine, urinary protein, but also reduce the levels of blood urea nitrogen, serum creatinine and cholesterol. The renal pathological changes induced by adenine were ameliorated. Conclusion:Jianpi Paldu Pill could significantly improve the renal function and inhibit the progression of chronic renal failure.
