Abstract

Japanese had a profound influence on the spread of modern physical education in China.Sino-Japanese War in 1895 led Chinese people to re-examine Japan.A large number of officials and scholars take the initiative to survey its education system.Due to those hard works,the modern physical education originated from the West was introduced to China from Japan,and then established in modern education system.The paper is devoted to show the general image of the process,based on the original survey records of WU Ru-lun and LUO Zhen-yu,in effort to show the rooting and development of physical education in China.
