Abstract
Objective:To study the effects of Dachengqi Decoction on the content of plasma motilin and vasoactive intestinal peptide of rats with constipation by outlet obstruction. Method:The models of constipation by outlet obstruction were made by constricting the rectum of rats partly,and take out stitches in vitro to relieve obstruction.The contents of plasma motilin and vasoactive intestinal peptide were measured by radio-immunity,analyzing,and contrasted histopathologic severity of colitis.Results: Constipation by outlet obstruction could lead to inflammatory reaction of mucous membrane of colon,and Dachengqi Decoction could relieve severity of colitis.There was no significant difference between the levels of plasma motilin in model group and normal group,but the levels of plasma motilin in Dachengqi Decoction group were significantly higher than normal group(P0.05).The levels of plasma vasoactive intestinal peptide in model group and Dachengqi Decoction group were significantly lower than normal group(P0.01),and the levels of plasma vasoactive intestinal peptide in Dachengqi Decoction group were significantly lower than relieve obstruction group(P0.01).Conclusion: Dachengqi Decoction significantly relieve inflammatory reaction of mucous membrane of colon caused by constipation by outlet obstruction,and influence the content of plasm motilin and vasoactive intestinal peptide of the rats.
