Abstract

Objective:To discusses intervention in older patients with malignant obstructive jaundice clinical effect in the course of treatment, cost and safety. Methods:From January 2005 to December 2010 in author's hospital hospitalization nausea block sex was icteric elderly patients, patients were divided into two groups according to the treatment method, the observation group undergone percutaneous puncture of the liver bile duct drainage interventional therapy, the Control group was given open operation control drainage treatment, compared to two groups of patients, and the effect of complications treatment costs. Results:Two groups of patients after treatment of serum bilirubin content and were significantly lower than before treatment(P0.05),compared the two groups no significant difference(P0.05),serum bilirubin fell more than 50% of the time had no significant difference(P0.05),the observation group complication rate compared with the control significantly reduced(P0.05),the average length of hospital stay, average hospitalization cost significantly reduced(P0.05).Conclusion:Older malignant obstructive jaundice intervention can be achieved and open drainage of the same remarkable curative effect, still can reduce the complications and reduce time to treatment and cost, should grasp the treatment indications widely.
