Abstract
Objective To discuss the efficacy and adverse reactions of fluvoxamine and clomipramine in the treatment of obses-sive-compulsive disorder. Methods 84 patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder were randomly divided into two groups,42 patients in the observation group(to be treated for fluvoxamine),and 42 patients in the control group(to be treated for clomipramine),who were treat-ed for 8 weeks. Before the treatment and 2,4,6,8 over the weekend,Yale-Brown Obsessive-Compulsive Scale(Y-BOCS)was used to eval-uate the efficacy, adverse reactions, treatment emergent symptom scale(TESS)was used to evaluate the adverse reactions. Results The dif-ference of pre-treatment Y-BOCS score in the two groups was not statistically significant(P 0.05);from the treatment of the first two week-ends Y-BOCS score in the two groups decreased significantly than before(P 0.01),over the same period there was no significant difference between the two groups(P 0.05);treatment for 8 week the efficiency was 69.05% in the observation group and 66.67% in the control group, with no significant difference between the two groups(P 0.05);the treatment group had fewer adverse reactions than in the control group. Conclusion Fluvoxamine in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder has the advantages of significant efficacy, fewer adverse reactions, good compliance, which is a safe, effective, and ideal drug for short-term treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder.
