Abstract
Objective: To investigate the biological effects of arsenic trioxide(As2O3) on human adenoid cystic carcinoma cell line in vitro. Methods: The effects of As2O3 on ACC-M and ACC-2 cell lines were investigate in vitro with morphological method,MTT, TUNEL assay and flow cytometry (FCM). Results: The proliferation of cancer cells were inhibited by As2O3 with a time/dose-dependent manner. As2O3 could induce the cell apoptosis of ACC-M and ACC-2 which revealed by TUNEL and FCM. Conclusion: As2O3 can inhibit the growth of human adenoid cystic carcinoma cell line and induce its apoptosis in vitro.
