A probe into Dewey's perception of education aims

Dewey's perception of education aims is a kernel of his thoughts on education. The article elaborates on his perception from the following four aspects: the non-aim education is actually one with purpose; Dewey strictly distinguished internal aim from external aim on education, and argued that education aim showed itself throughout the process of education, rather than being imposed by any exterior force. Apart from the above two aspects, Dewey also put forward that current education should be emphasized as well as the unity of individual standard and social standard. His perception of education is rich in instructional significance in the sense of education of China.
