Study on Epoxy Resin Graft Modified by Acrylic Acid

Abstract

The epoxy resin/acrylic acid kind of grafting product is prepared by solution polymerization.The effects of acid amount,the MAA/AA ratio,the dosage of initiator BPO,the epoxy resin type and reaction time on the grafting rate and epoxy value are studied.It is found that when the amount of acid is equal to that of epoxy resin,the reaction time is 3.5 hour,the ratio of MAA to AA is 0.12:0.42 and the epoxy resin type is E-20,the grafting rate and epoxy value will be better.
