Clinical Effects of Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure in the Treatment of Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia

Abstract

Objective To study the clinical value of loop electrosurgical excision procedure(LEEP)in the treatment of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN).Methods LEEP was performed in 206 cases of CIN after multiple punch biopsy under colposcopy treatment in our hospital between August 2006 and August 2009.The symptoms,operative time,volume of bleeding of patients were observed and compared with preoperative cervical biopsy and postoperation pathological examination findings,and patients were followed up to observe the cervical recovery.Results The average time of LEEP was 11 minutes,the volume of bleeding was 16 mL.CIN I,CIN Ⅱ,CIN Ⅲwith colposcopic cervical biopsy and CIN I,CIN Ⅱ,CIN Ⅲ with LEEP of post-operation pathologic diagnosis were positive correlated,the correlation coefficient was 0.763(P0.01).The cure rate of LEEP was 98.06%,178 cases of 206 with shaping of cervical specimens were satisfied(86.41%).Conclusion LEEP is a safe and effective method for diagnosis and treatment of CIN.
