Abstract

Objective:To investigate the expression of ASC in carcinoma of cervix and its significance.Methods:The immunohistochemical LSAB method applied to conduct the ASC determination for 30 specimens of cervical carcinoma without chemoradiotherapy before operation and cervicitis tissues.Results:The positive rate of ASC in the cervicitis tissues and the cervical carcinoma tissues were 70.00%(21/30)and 10.00%(3/30),respectively.There was a significant difference between the groups(P0.01).Conclusion:There is a low ASC expression in cervical carcinoma and it is a low than in the cervicitis tissues,which suggesting that ASC plays an important role in the apoptosis,incidence and development of cervical carcinoma.
