Analysis on epidemic situation of notifiable communicable diseases in Henan oil-field from 2004 to 2008

Abstract

OBJECTIVE To gain insight into the characteristics of communicable diseases in Henan oil-field and provide a scientific basis for making up strategies for the prevention and control of communicable diseases.METHODS Analysis was conducted on normal data of epidemic situation from notifiable communicable diseases report system in Henan oil-field from 2004 to 2008.RESULTS From 2004 to 2008,total 491 cases in 14 categories with Type B and C of communicable diseases were reported in Henan oil-field,with an average incidence rate of 112.83/100 000,no type A communicable disease was found.Communicable diseases were mainly composed of intestine infectious diseases and respiratory infectious disease.CONCLUSION Prevention and control of intestine infectious disease and respiratory infectious disease are the keys and difficult points in the prevention and control in the future.Surveillance should be reinforced on the control of virus hepatitis,bacillary dysentery and tuberculosis.
