A study on the dynamic tracks of comuunicable diseases in Yichun from 1950 through 2005

Objective The present study was made to explore the threat towards people's health caused by communicable diseases in different decades.Methods Thorough analysis was conducted on the dynamic tracks of communicable diseases in Yichun City from 1950 to 2005.Results The whole tendency of the incidence of communicable diseases presented dramatic and wavelike decrease.The incidence decreased by 96.05% and mortality decreased by 95.67%.The components of communicable diseases mapping were mainly those diseases caused by natural infectious sources,arbo-diseases and communicable diseases from 1950s to 1970s.And in 1990s,intestinal communicable diseases became the major component,while at the beginning of 21st century,respiratory communicable disease,intestinal communicable disease,blood communicable disease and STD became the three major components.Those extremely threatening the health and life of children have been eliminated and controlled.The incidences of viral hepatitis and pulmonary tuberculosis increased relatively fast.And the epidemic situation of AIDS was very serious and the epidemic situation of rabies disease increased retrospectively,which had become the entity causing the most death cases.Conclusion The outlook in prevention and control of communicable diseases in Yichun City is still serious at present,and prevention and control of communicable disease will still be the key point in disease control in this City for a long time.
