Abstract

Objective To explore the treatment effects of early rehabilitation and hyperbaric oxygen treatments on acute cerebral infarction. Methods One hundred and twelve patients were randomly divided into observation group (n=56) and control group (n=56). The subjects in control group were treated with drugs and rehabilitation treatment, while those in observation group accepted hyperbaric oxygen treatment additionally. The neuro-deficit score, the mini-mental state examination (MMSE) scale and the Barthel index (BI) were utilized to assess the therapeutic effects. Results After treatment, the neuro-deficit scores of two groups deceased (P0.01),scores of observation group were lower than those of control group (P0.01); the MMSE and BI scores of both groups increased (P0.01) and scores of observation group were higher than those of control group (P0.01).Conclusion Early rehabilitation and hyperbaric oxygen treatments can obviously improve neurological function, cognition function and activity of daily life of acute cerebral infarction patients. It facilitates the rehabilitation of patients with acute cerebral infarction.
