Research Progress in Neuroprotective Function of Resveratrol

Resveratrol is an effective composition in many natural plants such as Rhizoma Polygoni Cuspiditi,grapes,Semen Cassiae and Peanut,which has been demonstrated to have beneficial effects on human health,such as neuroprotection,anticancer effect,cardioprotection,anti-inflammatory and antibacterial action,liver protection,immunoregulation and phytoestrogen effect.This article summarized the properties of resveratrol,the application and mechanism in nervous pharmacology and the other pharmacological effects,which provide evidences for the further development and utilization of the resvertrol.
