Abstract

Euphemism,as a universal linguistic phenomenon and language means has being influenced and conditioned by social factors,besides its own inner working principles.This paper brings the interpretations to euphemism by the examples in Chinese and English within the framework of register by Halliday in the field of sociolinguistics,intended for providing people for smooth communication and good effect with theoretical helps.
