Abstract

The seeds of pea(No.1 Qinghe)were soaked with different concentration of salicylic acid(SA)for 12 hours, and the rate of seeds germination, the content of soluble-sugar and protein, and the growth of seeding were measured. The results indicated that the rate of seeds germination was not inhibited obviously, the contents of soluble-sugar and protein were increased and the index of seed germination and growth of seeding were enhanced after the seeds were treated at 10 mg/L and 50 mg/L of SA respecitively, but the physyological indexes were decreased and the growth of seeding was inhibited.
