Supply Chain's Bullwhip Effects and Their Control Theory Approach

With the development of market competition and economic globalization,the supply chain is playing an increasingly important role.The distortion of information from the downstream of the supply chain to the upstream will result in excessive inventory cost,poor customer service,less profit,and the lower efficiency.The phenomenon is always called the bullwhip effect.Hence,how to suppress the bullwhip effect has become the focus of researchers' study.In this paper,we introduce the study of the bullwhip effect,its latest development,and in particular,the research method based on the control theory.This paper provides the research foundation of the suppression method and theoretical innovation of bullwhip effects on the supply chain.
