Abstract
Network survivability refers to that the system still can complete its key tasks when it suffers from the attacks,failure or the contingency.Survivability has become a new direction in network security.It can better meet the current situation of network application than the traditional security concepts and technologies such as information protection and guarantee.It also gives a new way to research the network security.Firstly,this paper conducts an analysis of the differences between survivability and traditional security concepts,and then it presents the definition,measurements and characteristics of implementing technologies of survivability.Finally,it introduces two methods to realize the survivability and analyzes the differences between the two methods to realize survivable systems.
