Progress in Research on Network Survivability

In contrast to the traditional security concepts and technologies,survivability has become a new direction in network security.Firstly,an analysis of the differences between survivability and traditional security concepts is made.And the paper concludes elements of survivability definition,measurements and computation technologies of survivability,and some common understandings,based on analysis and generalization of current research on survivability,then,introduces the main progress,SSA,short for survivable system analysis,and analyzes development trend of research on survivability,finally,analyzes the differences between the two methods to realize survivable systems.
