Abstract
The establishment and perfection of the imperial examination system in the Tang Dynasty were the inevitable outcome of the high development of the feudalistic economy. The scrambles between the bureaucracy clique of the landlord class and the old families of power and influence were the peculiar phenomenon in the Tang Dynasty. The two had close relationships.
