Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effect of lanthanum chloride on the interleukin-8(IL-8) secretion of human gingival fibroblast(HGF) induced by lipopolysaccharide(LPS).Methods Human gingival fibroblast was cultured by block methods.ELISA was used to analyze the IL-8 secretion. Results The result of ELISA indicated a significant inhibition effect of LaCl_3 at 1×10~(-4)~1×10~(-6) mol/L on the IL-8 secretion of HGF induced by LPS.Conclusion The results suggest that the resistance function of LaCl_3 against the inflammation may be related to the inhibition effect of LaCl_3 on the release of inflammatory cytokines.
