Abstract
Objective:To investigate the expression of survivin,p53 protein and its correlation with clinicopathological features in the uygur patients. Methods: The expression of survivin and p53 protein 50 cases of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma tissues and 18 cases of adjacent tissues was assessed by SP immunohistochemical method. Results: The positive rates of survivin and p53 in the cancer tissues were 66% and 38%,significantly higher than those in the control group(adjacent tissues)(P0.05);The positive rate of survivin and p53 was closely correlated with TNM stage and degree of tumor differentiation(P0.05),but showed no statistical associated with age, sex, tumor size, infiltration depth and lymph node metastasis(P0.05).The expression of survivin had a negative correlation with that of p53(r=0.040,P0.05).Conclusion: Survivin and p53 have high expression in ESCC tissues, and the positive rate was closely correlated with TNM stage and degree of tumor differentiation,They may play an important role in ESCC malignancy and the prognosis of patients.
