Cherishing the Earth's Resources and Promoting the Multipurpose Utilization of the Tailings

This paper discusses the importance for effectively and rationally using the tailings;and analyses the problems involved in comprehensive utilization,such as low utilization rate,waste of resources,lack of policy support and scientific support.At present,the main ways for using tailings are: spoil reclaiming,filling mine-out area,reclamation and integrated utilization.Finally,this paper suggests that changing conception,strengthening policy support,exercising supervision and management,and enhancing technical innovation are the main methods for promoting the comprehensive utilization of tailings.
