Abstract
Based on environmental monitoring data from 1998 to 2002 for Dagujia River water quality,seven indexes including COD_(Cr),BOD_5,total phosphorus,ammonia-nitrogen,total nitrogen,pH,and dissolved oxygen are surveyed and analyzed to assess the water environment quality of the river.The results show that the water environment is polluted seriously and the main pollutant is total nitrogen.Water environment protection measures and pollution control planning ,such as cut of pollutants from surface sources,treatment of urban wastewater collection,control of new pollution source,investigation on controlled quantity of surface source pollution,etc.are proposed based on water environment features and practical problems.
