Abstract

Cotton fabric was dyed with dye liquor extracted from gingko leaf using alum as mordant agent. The optimal conditions for dyeing were determined using the methods of orthogonal experiment. The optimum dyeing condition was 35 g/L dyeing bath,pH=11,bath temperature 70 ℃ and dyeing time 35 min.The washing fastness and rubbing fastness of the dyed fabric were improved by 1-2 degree by treating with mordant.
