Dietary behavior among high school students in Zhejiang Province

Abstract

Objective To study the dietary behaviors of schools students in Zhejiang Province,and to provide evidence for the evaluation and intervention.Methods Questionnaire survey was conducted among 11 638 high school students from 30 typical counties in Zhejiang Province with multi-staged cluster random sampling methods.Results In the past 30 days,64.47% of students ate breakfast every day,65.12% of students took fruits every day,89.97% of students ate vegetable every day.89.97% of students took milks five days every week or more.35.28% drank carbonated beverages at least one time every day.In the past 7 days,1.68% of students ate western fast food.Conclusion Unhealthy dietary behaviors exist commonly among high school students in Zhejiang province.Students should be encouraged to change unhealthy dietary behaviors,and to cultivate healthy dietary behaviors.
