Abstract
[Objective] To study the status of dietary behaviors of junior middle school students in Bao'an District,so that to give some suggestion to improve malnutrition,overnutrition and unbalanced diet,ensure dietary security and make healthy education policy for junior middle school students in Bao'an District.[Methods] A questionnaires survey was conducted among 3368 students from grade 1-3 in 8 middle schools.[Results] 54.4% of the junior middle school students had breakfast every day;71.4% and 89.44% of the students had lunch and dinner at home;10.6% of the junior middle school students often had meals around schools;60.0% of them ate vegetables every day,32.1% of them ate fruit every day,40.1%of them ate fishes and meat every day,14.1% of them ate legume every day,34.3% of them drunk milk every day;and 9.9% of them had snack;Drinks,fried food,bread,biscuits and ice cream were the main categories of snack;4.7% and 24.7% of the junior middle school students often or less often had western-style fast food,respectively.[Conclusion] The status of dietary behaviors and food safety is worrying in the junior middle school students;It is necessary to promote health education and build mess halls in middle schools to correct unhealthy dietary behaviors and make safe dietary condition for them.
