The application of cognitive context in listening comprehension

English listening comprehension is a complicated process,which involves a variety of factors such as language,cognition,psychology,pragmatic inference and so on.This paper,based on the cognitive context——the combination of schema theory and context theory,is in search of the interrelationship between cognitive context and listening comprehension so that it may guides the students in improving their listening comprehension,raising their understanding to a higher level and acquiring a deep listening comprehension.
