Abstract
Listening comprehension is a classic“learning-by-doing”skill.The learner must adopt the strategy of listening for key elements around which to construct meaning while listening.Different from reading and writing, listening process is fast and can' t be regressive. Therefore, improving the learner' s listening comprehension is far beyond adhering to acoustic analysis. The paper concludes that the analysis of the cognitive elements of comprehension and the study of cues to listening comprehension are great help to learners.
