Message from Shipping Index Study-Its meaning to Construction of Shanghai Shipping and Finance Center

Abstract

In order to find out the junction of the international shipping center and the financial center and promote the construction of the both in Shanghai,the shipping index products by world famous shipping organizations are studied.The characteristics of the shipping indexes that have been developed to be successful financial products are analyzed.The study,covering Concrete characteristics of shipping practice and special requirements of financial market,gave suggestions for long-term development planning of both Shanghai shipping center and financial center.
