Clinical observation on levocetirizine for treatment of urticaria

Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of levocetirizine in the treatment of urticaria patients. Methods 78 patients(41 cases of acute urticarial patients and 37 case of chronic urticarial patients) received levocetirizine(5mg/table),one tablets each time,once a day,and evaluated the efficacy and safety. Results The effective rate of acute urticaria patients was 92.7% and 75.7% in chronic urticaria.The total effective rate was 84.6%,and the total rate of the side effect was 5.1%. Conclusions Levocetirizine is effective and safe for the treatment of urticaria.
