Abstract
Objective to investigate the effect of the nursing intervention on patients' anxiety levels before LASIK surgery.Methods Nursing intervention were given to 92 patients proposed LASIK surgery when the preoperative examination was done.The anxiety levels of the patients were evaluated by Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS) before nursing intervention and 30minutes before LASIK,the results were documented and compared.Results Before nursing intervention,The anxiety degree of patients was significantly higher than that of normal contorl(44.05±6.18vs29.78±0.46,t=4.28 P0.01),After intervention,patients showed significantly lower anxiety level than before(44.05±6.18vs38.42±7.15,P0.01).Conclusion he anxiety level of the patient can be reduced by nursing intervention before LASIK.
