Analysis on the Pediatric Prescriptions in the Outpatient of Our Hospital

Objective To investigate the pediatric prescriptions of outpatient in own hospital, and promote rational medicines utilization. Methods 11 250 outpatient prescriptions from Oct 2005 to Oct 2006 were randomly sampled, the medication information was statistically analyzed. Results The average cost of the prescriptions was 46.31 yuan, the rate of transfusion prescriptions and antibacterial prescriptions was 78.3% and 76.20%, respectively. The prescriptions consisting of under 5 medicines accounted to 64.5%. Conclusion The usage of medicines in this outpatient has some problems, the education about rational administration must be emphasized.
