ZHAO Ru-yu: an Imperial Prime Minister of Song Dynasty,Who Made Policies and Helped Those in Peril

ZHAO Ru-yu was an important person in Southern Song Dynasty,serving three emperors: Xiaozong,Guangzong,and Ningzong.In the period of Guangzong's passing throne to Ningzhong,he made policies,helped those in peril and then successfully carried out the smooth handing over of imperial power.He was the only imperial prime minister of Song Dynasties.He remedied defects,rectified errors while in power,and carried out the reform assignment of Xiaozong's later years.In the scrample for power with HAN Tuo-zhou,he initiated the ban of Qinyuan Party,and later died uncleared of a false charge.However,because he had made policies for a long time,and his meritorious deeds had gone down in history,with his remarkable academic skills,he was regarded as an outstanding representative of Song' s princes and dukes and his achievements in his political career should be fully affirmed.
