Abstract

Zhao Mengtiao,who enjoyed a high reputation for his calligraphy,painting,poem and prose,was disputed because he served as an official in imperial government of the Yuan Dynasty as a descendent of the royal family of the Song Dynasty.Zhao Mengtiao as an official in Imperial Government of the Yuan Dynasty is the focus of the study of his own.In accordance with Zhao Mengtiao's Song Xue Zhai Set and his own experiences,this article raises some ideas different from previous findings,and inquires into three problems.Is Zhao Mengtiao a turncoat official or is he not a filial son? Is he an initiative official or a passive one in Imperial Government of Yuan Dynasty? Is he willing to be an official to other places or doing that without choice?
