Abstract
Objective To evaluate the relationship between carotid artery atherosclerosis and the coronary heart disease. Methods 105 cases devided into normals and 1,2,3-vessel groups by angiography were examined with carotid ultrasonography. Results The more serious the coronary heart disease, the thicker maximum intima-media thickness and higher incidence rate of plaque in carotid artery was. Conclusion There was more relative relationship between carotid artery atherosclerosis and the coronary heart disease and carotid artery ultrasonography may predict the extent of coronary heart disease.
