Chinese Herbal Drugs with Colon Dialysis in Chronic Renal Failure Treatment

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Chinese herbal drugs on chronic renal failure(CRF).Methods The CRF patients(n=200) were randomly divided into the therapeutic group(n=100) and the control group(n=100),both treated with the routine Chinese herbal drugs and western medications.And the therapeutic group treated with colonlysis of the renal failure formula besides the routine treatment,while the control group treated with herb retention-enema.The changes of symptoms and signs and the levels of serum creatinine,urea nitrogen of the patients in two groups were observed before and after the treatment.Results The symptoms and sings and the seurm creatinine,urea nitrogen of the patients in both two groups were relieved in different degree,there was a significant difference between two groups(P0.01),the therapeutic group had a better therapeutic effect.There was a significant difference between the total effective rate of two groups(P0.05).Conclusion The therapy with Chinese herbal durgs has a confirmed therapeutic effect on chronic renal failure,especially combined with colon dialysis.
