Chinese Herbal Drugs with Colon Dialysis in Chronic Renal Failure Treatment

Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect of Chinese herbal drugs on chronic renal failure(CRF).Method:The CRF patients(n=172)were randomly divided into the treatment group(n=86)and the control group(n=86),both treated with the routine Chinese herbal drugs and western medications,and the treatment group treated with colonlysis of the renal failure formula besides the routine treatment.The changes of symptoms and signs and the levels of serum creatinine,urea nitrogen of the patients in two groups were observed before and after the treatment.Result:The symptoms and signs and the serum creatinine,urea nitrogen of the patients in both two groups were relieved in different degree,there was a significant difference between two groups(P﹤0.01 or 0.05),the treatment group had a better therapeutic effect.There was a significant difference between the total effective rate of two groups(P﹤0.01).Conclusion:The therapy with Chinese herbal drugs has a confirmed therapeutic effect on chronic renal failure,especially combined with colon dialysis.
