The Classification Research of Characters in Romance of Enfeoffment to Deities

Romance of Enfeoffment to Deities describes numerous characters.Each character is formed in a historical process and thus has different significance in the novel.According to different standards,these characters can be divided into four types,which are the original characters of The Romance of King Zhouwu Defeating King Yinzhou and the additional characters of Romance of Enfeoffment to Deities,characters on the list of Gods and not on the list,characters believing the religions of Chan and Jie Sect and the Founder of the Western religions,and fantasy figures and common characters.By dividing the characters in the novel in four types,we can discuss the features of these characters in different aspects.In this way,we are able to grasp the general features and deepen our reorganization and understanding of the novel.
