A Comprehensive Understanding of the Method of Creating "Understanding Characters"

With the evolution of Chinese characters,two kinds of understanding characters have come out,one is to suggest the meaning of a word by a pictorialized figure,which is the visualized one,and the other one is to explain or to suggest the meaning of a word by the association of the characters,which is the abstract one.But,for a long time,people only regard the abstract understanding characters as understanding characters,and regard the visualized understanding characters as pictographic characters or pointing characters.This one-sided view has confused the differences between understanding characters with pictographic characters and pointing characters,as well as cannot explain the meaning of a understanding character exactly.
