Abstract

Objective To observe the efficacy of combined butorphanol-propofol anaesthesia for painless induced abortion. Methods This study consisted of 100 patients scheduled for the abortion, who were evenly randomized to observation group and control group, the size of gestation sacs was within eight weeks.Intravenous anaesthesia was done by using butorphanol combined with propofol for the patients in observation group, and propofol for those in the control group.A comparison was carried out between the two groups in regard to the condition of anesthesia, intraoperative and postoperative vaginal bleeding, and VAS score after analepsia. Results The limb kinetic cases in the control group were more than that in the observation group, being significantly different between the two groups(χ2=4.557,P0.05);no significant difference was noted between the two groups regarding vaginal bleeding(t=0.81,1.54;P0.05);the VAS score in the observation group was lower than that in the control(t=7.97-9.00,P0.05).Conclusion The use of butorphanol besides propofol can enhance the anesthetic effect at surgery, and not influence the uterine contraction during and after operation, which effectively suppresses postoperative pain due to uterine contraction.
