Analysis of basic indicators and rational drug use:review of outpatient prescription in 2008

Objective To probe into the drug use by analyzing the randomly sampled outpatient prescriptions(prescribed in year 2008).Methods The sampled prescriptions were retrospectively reviewed one by one and analyzed statistically.Results A total of 4800 scptions were reviewed,2.73 kinds of drugs were used on average the percentage of patients receiving injections antibiotis and essential drugs were 19%,23.22% and 71.25% respectively.The irrational prescriptions represented 4.11% of the total,and the drug cost per capital each time was 313.78 yuan.Conclusions The drug use in our hospital was rational on the whole,but it remains to be improved further.
