Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To observe the clinical efficacy of Tiopronin in treating non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.METHODS:104 patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease were randomly divided into therapy group and control group:52 patients in therapy group were treated with Tiopronin for 3 months, and 52 in control group with Hugan tablets(liver-protection tablets)for 3 months.Serum transaminase, blood lipid levels and other parameters in the two groups were detected before and after treatment.RESULTS:The therapy group was superior to the control group in lowering ALT,AST,TC and TG(P0.05).There were significant differences between the therapy group and the control group in total effective rate(92.3% in therapy group versus 65.4% in control group)(P0.01).CONCLUSION:Tiopronin is safe and effective in the treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
