Abstract
Dihexyl sebacate was synthesized from sebacic acid and n-hexanol alcohol with Sodium bisulfate as catalyst. The effect of factors on esterification ratio was studied. The result shows that the best reaction condition was:bases on 0.05 mol sebacic acid, molar ratio of n-hexanol alcohol to sebacic acid was 2.6,mass of catalyst was 0.5 g,the taking water reagent was 10 mL,reaction time was 2 h.The esterification ratio is 98%.The experimental results showed that Sodium bisulfate had many advantages such as easy preparation, low cost, high activity,non-corrosive and pollution-free to the environment. It is an excellent catalyst for synthesis of Dihexyl sebacate.
