Application of replanting variant cutis after immersion bath to residual burn wounds

Objective To observe the application of replanting variant cutis after immersion bath to residual burn wounds.Methods One hundred and twelve patients with residual post-burn wounds were enrolled in the study,and divided into Group A(n=56) and Group B(n=56).After treated with immersion bath,the wounds in Group A were replanted size-suitable variant cutis,and dressed with dressing(changed every 2 days).The wounds in Group B were enswathed with vaseline gauze after disinfected.The clinical results,the bacteriological findings and the corresponding safety indexes were determined 10 days after treatment.Results The rates of wound healing,efficacy and bacterial clearance in Group A were 66.1%,89.3% and 88.2%,respectively,obviously higher than that(30.4%,69.7% and 70.0%) in Group B(P0.01).No side-effects were observed in either group.Conclusion Application of replanting variant cutis after immersion bath is safe and effective on residual burn wounds,for it is beneficial to the control of wound infection and to the promotion of wound healing.
