Need Analysis of Seven-year Clinical Medicine Students for Double-phased Teaching of Statistics

To understand the demands of seven-year undergraduate students for double-phased statistics teaching and analyze reforming measures of double-phased teaching,we surveyed 20 seven-year medical students who were at the stage of graduation practice.Twenty copies of survey questionnaire of teaching needs were distributed to the students,and all were collected,with the collection rate and validity rate of 100%.Epidata 3.1 was used to analyze the data.Of all the students surveyed,80% recognized the necessity of the double-phased statistics teaching.They had a strong desire for studying advanced statistics and research design,and they hoped that statistical software course could be offered and practice-based teaching could also be added.There is a realistic demand for double-phased statistics teaching pattern among seven-year medical students.In the teaching reform,we should aim at upgrading students' ability in clinical research,make a rational arrangement of teaching content for the two phases,strengthen training in software application,conduct practice-oriented teaching,and introduce new statistical knowledge so as to ensure the effectiveness of the reform.
